Technical projects in developing countries entail complex risks. With our team of national and international engineers, we meet these challenges by reviewing project plans or by taking over the complete provision of corresponding services. To ensure transparent and comprehensible project allocation, we advise local partners and monitor the process from the bidding to the signing of the contract. During the construction phase, we monitor the implementation with our own engineers and ensure the enforcement of claims by means of the most modern documentation tools. We also virtually involve our clients in these processes using various remote monitoring and visualization options.
Development cooperation cannot be realized without thinking of education. To this end, we first identify the need and then support the target groups with targeted training, including training for the qualified operation of technical equipment. To monitor the success of our measures, we conduct regular surveys and are able to compensate existing deficits by follow-up measures. In doing so, we use the range of direct interviews to integrate app-based survey tools. Our experience shows that development projects regularly lead to tensions within local communities. Our employees bring conflict parties together and promote the settlement of differences through mediation.
The safety situation, terrain that is difficult to access or simply long distances between projects often represent particular challenges in ourwork. We therefore use app-based applications that enable local personnel on construction sites to permanently exchange information with our technical experts. This enables us to ensure construction quality even from a distance and to involve our clients closely in the projects. In order to maintain an overview of extensive programs, we permanently visualize our project data with appropriate web-based software and make them available to all project partners in a clearly structured manner. We are able to integrate adapted solutions based on the latest technology. For hydraulic engineering projects and the estimation of flooding risks, we carry out hydrodynamic drainage simulations and calculate the corresponding models.
Compliance with international regulations and standards in the management of funding often overburdens local project executing agencies in developing countries. In order to strengthen transparency and trust, we act as a neutral authority between the competent local bodies and international financing partners. We provide our services either in an advisory capacity or by assuming responsibility for the assignment and disbursement management. Independent audits underline our claim of legally compliant and conscientious handling of funding.
